Pretty much all we said while we were there, although I ended up calling it Munchkin by the end so I dunno. Our couch surfing host Klaus picked us up from the bus station, he was really nice. We got to his house and had to walk up 4 flights of stairs with our backpacks and I mean we’ve done worse but yeah I’m over it. Shoulda brought a wheely bag. Then he took us to see the downtown area, he showed up some main things like they’re church, city hall, the statue that was the exact centre of they’re state and all the shopping! Then we just went and got subway while he went and met friends, that night we watched some crime tv show that is a big deal there. But I totally had no fucking clue what was going on since of course it was in German. But we had some beers that were so cheap like 50-80 cents for a big glass bottle of beer it was called ” lagher hell” I think? And some weird German snacks that were pretty good, nothin on ketchup chips though. The next day we planned to get up and go hike, but it was raining and we were lazy, so we slept in and decided to try the free walking tour downtown, but we missed it by the time we actually got there because that’s our luck. But while we were in the square we saw Nolan who is from St.Albert and studying in Switzerland, he went to Munich for Kendra’s birthday too, who is a girl from St.Albert studying in Munich. That afternoon we just walked around and looked at stuff that we had no clue what they were but it looked important so we took pictures infront of it. Then we got a real German lunch, Kenzie and I shared tomato soup, and spatzel, little dough balls with cheese, so good like kraft dinner to the next level. Aly had sausages and sauerkraut which was actually really good too! Who would have thought we would like German food.. Wait we like all kinda of food. Lol? That night we went to the university grounds where Kendra is studying and drank in her room with some of her friends that go to school they’re too, two were from New Zealand, one from Switzerland, one from Australia, one from England and someone from the States! So it was all good fun we all got pretty drunk, then tried to find a place to go but since it was Monday they’re wasn’t a whole lot of options so we called it quites and got McDonald’s! Our last day in Munich we were supposed to wake up early and head to the Sleeping Beauty castle because it is a 2 hour train out they’re. But of course since we were all close to blackout we didn’t get on the train till like 12. Which was fine, the ride was super nice, Germany is so much more amazing than what I expected! It’s green and beautiful, you could think it was Alberta with the canola fields but in Edmonton we have mountains of snow from the roads and here is the Swiss Alps. Yeah Edmonton’s better your right. On the bud to the bottom of the mountain, we met some Canadian guys traveling around Europe too. So we all walked up the mountains to the castle and it was breathtaking right on the side of the Alps, and had a view of a little town surrounded in a valley. We walked around the castle to see a waterfall, and then we sat by a steam and had glacier water, walked down the valley and saw some amazing nature. It started to snow and we were not dressed for that weather so we choose to go back home, good thing because we took our first train then the train that was supposed to connect us back in Munich broke down, so we had to go on a different train and stand for 50 mins while we took the long way. I was happy really not tired from walking up and down fucking everything today, not mad my phone died. I liked it I did. That night it was Kendra’s birthday so we were supposed to go out but we got so tired that we watched football aka soccer with Klaus and asked him stupid questions and I don’t know if anyone is aware but soccer players are sexy like dimes!! Don’t knock it till ya see it! Now off to Prague for Aly’s birthday!!
